OUR MILITARY

The Beaufort-Port Royal area is proud to be home to two major military bases: Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot for the Eastern Region and the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

Parris Island has trained Marines during each major conflict of the 20th and 21st century and continues to operate recruit training as well as Drill Instructor School.  Family Day and Graduation for recruit training take place on  each Thursday and Friday of almost every week during the year.  Graduation dates and visitor information about Parris Island can be found here: http://www.mcrdpi.usmc.mil/

MCAS Beaufort is among the United States’ military’s most important and most historically colorful installations.  It is home to 7 Marine Corps F/A-18 squadrons and two Navy F/A 18 squadrons.  For more information about MCAS Beaufort, please visit:  https://www.beaufort.usmc.mil/
